F. Murray Abraham

F. Murray Abraham (born October 24, 1939, in Pittsburgh) is an American actor of Syrian and Italian descent whose career stretches from off-Broadway stages in the 1960s to current Hollywood productions. He won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Actor for his portrayal of Antonio Salieri in Amadeus (1984). A stage veteran with over 90 plays to his name, he was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 2015, and has remained active on screen in projects ranging from Homeland to The White Lotus and The Phoenician Scheme.
