Eva Krestová is a Czech violist who has led the viola section of the Czech Philharmonic since 2021 - the first woman to hold that post. She trained as a violinist, studied at the Prague Academy of Music, and spent four years in the Pavel Haas Quartet, performing at Carnegie Hall and Wigmore Hall. Her husband, violinist Radim Kresta, introduced her to the viola, and she has since built a parallel career as a chamber musician with the Josef Suk Piano Quartet, recording for Supraphon and Arco Diva.
