Erotikon (1929) is a silent film directed by Gustav Machatý, based on a story by poet Vítězslav Nezval. The tale of a country girl seduced by a stranger stands out for its modernist visual style - carefully composed shots, striking light contrasts and dynamic editing. Italian actress Ita Rina played the lead. The film is considered a high point of Czechoslovak silent cinema.
