Аквариум (Aquarium) is a Russian rock band founded in Leningrad in 1972 by Boris Grebenshchikov. Regarded as one of the pioneers of Russian rock, the band blends rock, folk, and Eastern influences with poetic, literary lyrics. Boris Grebenshchikov remains its central figure and primary songwriter to this day.
