Original ENIGMA Voices Symphonic
A symphonic concert featuring vocalists from the legendary ENIGMA group, bringing a new dimension to their iconic compositions.
Enigma is a musical project founded in 1990 by Romanian-German producer Michael Cretu (born 1957). It broke new ground by fusing Gregorian chant, electronic beats, and world music elements into a sound that had no real precedent in pop. The debut album MCMXC a.D. launched the project to global fame via the single 'Sadeness (Part I)', which topped charts in over 20 countries. Over eight studio albums, Enigma has sold more than 70 million records, earned 100+ platinum certifications, and received three Grammy nominations.
On fan forums in June 2025, there are discussions about speculation that Michael Cretu is working on the ninth Enigma album.
The fan channel EnigmaFanClub announced that the fraudulent YouTube channel 'Michael Cretu Offiziell' was permanently removed following intervention by Universal Music Group.
Universal Music Group and the project management established a new official YouTube channel for Michael Cretu's solo work and a separate channel for Enigma.
In October 2024, Enigma performed live for the first time in India - the concert in Bangalore featured the project's original voices, a symphonic orchestra, and a dance ensemble.
The eighth studio album The Fall of a Rebel Angel was released in November 2016 and features the single Sadeness (Part II) and a collaboration with British artist Aquilo.
