Emma Watson (born 15 April 1990 in Paris) is a British actress who rose to global fame as a child playing Hermione Granger across all eight Harry Potter films. Beyond the franchise she starred in The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012), Beauty and the Beast (2017) and Little Women (2019). Since 2014 she has served as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador and co-launched the HeForShe gender-equality campaign; in 2023 she began a creative-writing degree at the University of Oxford.
