Elias Koteas is a Canadian actor of Greek descent, known for taking on intense, unconventional roles across both arthouse and mainstream cinema. In David Cronenberg's Crash (1996) he plays Vaughan, the magnetic ringleader of a group obsessed with car crashes. His other credits include The Thin Red Line, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the TV series The Killing.
