Eihwar is a French duo formed in 2023 by Asrunn and Mark, who mix Nordic folk instruments, shamanic drums and electro-industrial beats into what they call "Viking War Trance". Signed to Season of Mist, they released the albums Ragnarök and Hugrheim and quickly played major festivals including Hellfest and Wacken Open Air. Their live show is built around an elaborate stage design and dancefloor energy rather than the solemn ritual atmosphere typical of the pagan scene.
