Edward James Olmos is an American actor of Mexican descent, best known for playing the enigmatic Gaff in Ridley Scott's Blade Runner (1982). He also starred in Miami Vice and the TV series Battlestar Galactica, and earned an Oscar nomination for Stand and Deliver (1988).
