Earl Boen (August 8, 1941 - January 5, 2023) was an American character actor and voice actor with a career spanning more than six decades. He is best remembered as criminal psychiatrist Dr. Peter Silberman in the Terminator trilogy - the only actor besides Arnold Schwarzenegger to appear in all three original films. Beyond the screen, he built a parallel career in voice acting, most notably as the villainous pirate LeChuck in the Monkey Island game series and as the narrator in World of Warcraft.
Earl Boen died on January 5, 2023 in his home in Hawaii at the age of 81; in November 2022 he was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer.
In the fall of 2022, doctors diagnosed Boen with stage four lung cancer.
Boen was approached by the creators of Return to Monkey Island to reprise the role of LeChucka, but due to health issues and retirement he declined the role.
