Dominic Cooper (born 2 June 1978 in Greenwich, London) is a British actor who launched his career with the role of Dakin in Alan Bennett's The History Boys - a production he took from the West End to Broadway and into the 2006 film. He became widely known through Mamma Mia! (2008), Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) as young Howard Stark, and four seasons leading AMC's Preacher (2016-2019). He has since worked steadily across British and American streaming productions.
Apple TV+ cancelled the thriller The Last Frontier after a single season; the series, in which Cooper played a fugitive CIA agent Havlock, aired from October to December 2025.
