DJ Krush (born Hideaki Ishi, 1962, Tokyo) is a Japanese DJ, turntablist and record producer widely regarded as a pioneer of instrumental hip-hop and trip-hop. His international breakthrough came through the London label Mo'Wax and albums such as Strictly Turntablized (1994) and Meiso (1995), which featured collaborations with DJ Shadow, Mos Def and Guru. Over a career spanning more than three decades he has released over ten solo albums, scored the Russian anime film First Squad (2009) and performed in more than 50 countries.
DJ Krush is conducting an autumn European tour with stops in Manchester, London, Paris, Mannheim, Budapest and other cities.
In September 2025, DJ Krush conducted an extensive European tour including Amsterdam, Paris, Vienna, Berlin, London, Bratislava, Prague, Budapest, Athens and Sofia.
In February 2024, DJ Krush released his thirteenth solo album Saisei as an independent artist - for the first time without a record label contract.
The album Saisei was released on February 21, 2024 and combines cinematic breakbeats, abstract rap and drill instrumentals.
In 2022, DJ Krush celebrated 30 years of his solo career with the project '道 -STORY-', through which he released new compositions and conducted tours in Japan and abroad.
