Distaste is an Austrian deathgrind band from Linz, active since 2000. Founded by Armin Schweiger and later joined by guitarist/producer Lukas Haidinger, the four-piece has spent over two decades honing a raw, uncompromising blend of grindcore, death metal and black metal. Their fifth album *Agoniepositur* (October 2025, FDA Records) is widely regarded as their most aggressive release to date.

In August 2025, a split 7" with Belgian band BARREN was released on Necro Records and Zann's Records, limited to 200 copies.
In May 2025, the band released a split with Swedish band SICKRECY titled *Oppressor:Salvatio*.
The English webzine No Clean Singing published a review of *Agoniepositur* and praised the band's ability to oscillate between explosive extroversion and an almost psychotic outburst.
The band announced their participation in the Injure Grind Attack VII festival, which will take place on July 26-27, 2026 in Poland.
