Diego Armando Maradona (1960-2020) was an Argentine footballer widely regarded as one of the greatest players ever. He captained Argentina to the 1986 World Cup title in Mexico, scoring both the infamous "Hand of God" goal and the "Goal of the Century" against England in the quarter-final. At club level he spent his peak years at SSC Napoli, winning two Serie A titles.
