Diego Abatantuono is an Italian actor who made his name in the comedies of the 1980s. He broke through with the film known in Czech as Maléry pana účetního (Eccezzziunale... veramente, 1982), playing a stereotypical Milanese football fan. He later moved into more dramatic territory, appearing in Mediterráneo (1991), which won the Oscar for best foreign-language film.
