Diane Kruger (born Heidkrüger, 1976, Lower Saxony) is a German actress who has built a career spanning Hollywood, French, and German cinema. She first reached global audiences as Helen of Troy in the epic Troy (2004) and as double agent Bridget von Hammersmark in Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds (2009). In 2017 she won the Cannes Best Actress prize for Fatih Akin's German-language In the Fade, and reunited with Akin for the WWII drama Amrum (2025).
The film Amrum (2025) starring Fatiha Akina and Kruger in the lead role entered American distribution through Kino Lorber from April 17, 2026.
