Deep Forest
French electronic music group Deep Forest performs at Prague's Café V lese.
Deep Forest is a French ethnic electronica project founded in 1992 by Éric Mouquet and Michel Sanchez. The duo built its sound by weaving authentic vocal recordings from around the world - the Solomon Islands, Africa, Hungary - into ambient electronic beats. Their debut single Sweet Lullaby reached the UK Top 10 and the album sold over three million copies worldwide. After winning a Grammy for Boheme in 1995, the project has been led solely by Mouquet since 2005, continuing to collaborate with musicians from across the globe.
2025 is an anniversary year for Deep Forest - 30 years have passed since winning a Grammy for the album Boheme.
Deep Forest performed twelve live shows in 2025, most frequently performing in London.
In 2020, Éric Mouquet released the album Deep Symphonic under the Deep Forest label, which features symphonic and electronic arrangements of the project's most famous compositions.
