David Gulpilil was an Australian actor and dancer from the Yolŋu people of the Northern Territory. He became known internationally through films such as Walkabout (1971) and Crocodile Dundee (1986), in which he played the Aboriginal tracker Neville Bell. He was one of the most prominent Indigenous Australian performers in world cinema.
