David Alvarez is a Cuban-Canadian actor and dancer who first caught international attention as a teenager by winning So You Think You Can Dance Canada. He went on to share a Tony Award for playing Billy Elliot on Broadway. In Steven Spielberg's 2021 film West Side Story he plays Bernardo, the leader of the Sharks.
