Daniel Brühl (born 1978, Barcelona) is a German-Spanish actor, director and producer who works across European arthouse cinema and major Hollywood productions. His international breakthrough came with Good Bye, Lenin! (2003), which earned him the European Film Award for Best Actor. Beyond acting, he directed his debut feature Next Door (2021, Berlinale premiere) and co-produced the Oscar-winning All Quiet on the Western Front (2022).

    Brühl signed a contract with agencies CAA and United Agents; in the near future he will have a leading role in the film The Entertainment System Is Down directed by Ruben Östlund alongside Kirsten Dunst and Keanu Reeves.
