Dana Zátopková is a Czech track and field athlete who won Olympic gold in the javelin throw at the 1952 Helsinki Games - on the same day her husband Emil Zátopek won the 5,000 metres. She later became European champion in 1958 and remains one of the most celebrated figures in Czechoslovak sporting history.
