Dana Medřická (1920-1983) was a Czech stage and film actress, for many years a member of the National Theatre in Prague. She was known for her sharp comic timing as well as her dramatic range, and she ranks among the most distinctive Czech actresses of her generation. In the 1966 comedy Kdo chce zabít Jessii? she played the resourceful docent whose dreams literally come to life.
