Colman Domingo (born November 28, 1969, in Philadelphia) is an American actor, playwright, and director who has built a career across Broadway, independent film, and major studio productions. He earned back-to-back Oscar nominations for Best Actor - for Rustin (2023) and Sing Sing (2024) - becoming the first Afro-Latino nominated in that category. Time magazine listed him among the 100 most influential people in the world in 2024.
Domingo plays Hugo in Steven Spielberg's sci-fi thriller Disclosure Day, which premiered in cinemas in June 2026 alongside Emily Blunt and Josh O'Connor.
On April 11, 2026, Domingo hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time; the musical guest was Brazilian pop star Anitta.
The film Michael (2026), in which Domingo plays Joe Jackson, became the highest-grossing music biographical film of all time.
Philadelphia's Temple University announced that Domingo will receive an honorary doctorate at the commencement ceremony in May 2026.
Paris Jackson publicly distanced herself from the biographical film Michael and explained that she withdrew from the project after finding the screenplay inaccurate.
