Lednice-Valtice Musical Festival 2026
The 11th edition of the Lednice-Valtice Musical Festival showcases French elegance, Baroque nobility, and contemporary music across multiple venues in the region.
Collegium Marianum is a Prague-based early music ensemble founded in 1997, dedicated to 17th- and 18th-century repertoire with a focus on Central European composers. Under the artistic direction of traverso player Jana Semerádová - a graduate of the Royal Conservatory in The Hague - the ensemble has expanded its work to include baroque dance and theatrical productions. It performs at major festivals including Prague Spring, Bachfest Leipzig and the Utrecht Oude Muziek Festival, records for Supraphon, and in 2010 received a UNESCO International Music Council award for promoting Czech music.
Collegium Marianum released the album Lacrimae for Supraphon with compositions by Jan Dismas Zelenka in collaboration with bassist Tomáš Šelec.
As part of the Barokní večery cycle, the ensemble performed in the Terezian Hall of Břevnov Monastery with a program dedicated to the music of the French royal court at the end of the 17th century.
Collegium Marianum performed in the Church of St. Simon and Jude in Prague with a program of works by J. S. Bach and C. P. E. Bach with the participation of Polish harpsichordist Marcin Świątkiewicz.
The Collegium Club organized a meeting at Buquoy Palace in Prague in collaboration with the French Embassy; the ensemble performed the program Boemo spiritoso dedicated to the music at the court of Count Morzin.
The Barokní večery cycle celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2025; the spring series included, among other things, a concert with Hana Blažíková at Lobkowicz Palace.
