Colin Edwin (born 2 July 1970 in Melbourne) is a British-Australian bassist and composer best known as a founding member of progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, with whom he recorded nine studio albums between 1993 and 2010. Since the band's hiatus he has become one of the most prolific collaborators on the British prog scene, active in O.R.k., Ex-Wise Heads, Metallic Taste of Blood and a string of other projects spanning prog rock, jazz, ambient and experimental music.
Colin Edwin and guitarist John Wesley announced the formation of a new band Voyage 35, which will perform the early repertoire of Porcupine Tree live; the first performance is scheduled for the 2Days Prog + 1 festival in the Italian city of Novara in September 2026.
The album The Baldock Transmission was released - an ambient instrumental recording by Edwin with guitarist Jon Durant and former Porcupine Tree drummer Chris Maitland, their first collaborative work in twenty years.
The band O.R.k., of which Edwin is a member, released on March 21, 2025 their fifth studio album Firehose of Falsehoods on the Kscope label.
