Cirk La Putyka is a Czech contemporary circus company founded in Prague in 2009 by brothers Rostislav and Vítek Novák, descendants of the celebrated Czech puppeteer Matěj Kopecký. The ensemble blends acrobatics, dance, puppetry and live music into original productions, and over fifteen years has given more than 2,200 performances across 23-plus countries on five continents. Its home base is Jatka78, a multidisciplinary theatre in Prague's Holešovice district that the company runs itself.
Cirk La Putyka presented the premiere of the production St.art on September 16, 2025, which combines the world of elite sports and circus art; the lead role was performed by seven-time Czech champion in trampoline jumping Matyas Novak.
The ensemble performed at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, together with the Czech Philharmonic as part of the Czech National Day.
The ensemble celebrated fifteen years of collaboration with Finnish director Maksim Komar with the premiere of the production Senses directed by him.
Czech Television reported on the ensemble's fifteenth anniversary: during its existence, it has performed over 2,200 shows in the Czech Republic and performed in 24 countries around the world.
The PPF Foundation supported the ensemble's international activities in 2024, including rehearsals abroad and engagement of foreign guest artists.
