Christopher Allen Lloyd (born October 22, 1938) is an American actor whose career spans more than six decades. He is best known for playing Dr. Emmett "Doc" Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy (1985-1990) and Jim Ignatowski in the sitcom Taxi (1978-1983), a role that earned him two Emmy Awards. Other major credits include Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) and Uncle Fester in The Addams Family (1991). He remains active, with recurring roles in new productions as recently as 2025.
In June 2026, Lloyd participated in Australian Supanova conventions in Sydney and Perth, where he met with fans at Q&A panels and autograph sessions.
Lloyd was confirmed as a guest at Hong Kong Comic Con 2026 in May, where he appeared alongside Mads Mikkelsen and Giancarlo Esposito.
In December 2025, Lloyd appeared as a guest in the series Happy's Place (NBC, season 2) alongside his Taxi co-star Carol Kane.
In April 2025, Lloyd began starring as a therapist in the new live-action/animated series Tooned Out, produced by Robert Zemeckis.
In March 2025, Lloyd attended a Roundabout Theatre Company gala in New York, where his Taxi co-star Danny DeVito was honored.
