Chica Checa is a Czech-Spanish co-production directed by Šimon Holý. It follows Zdena (Pavla Tomicová), a widowed village postwoman trying to fulfil her dying mother's last wish, whose life is upended by a chain of unexpected events. The film marks Holý's step into international co-production after two of his earlier low-budget features screened at the Karlovy Vary film festival.
