Charlie Day (born February 9, 1976) is an American actor, writer, and producer best known for playing Charlie Kelly in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - a show he co-created with Rob McElhenney and Glenn Howerton that holds the record as the longest-running live-action sitcom in U.S. television history. He has built a parallel film career with roles in Horrible Bosses (2011), Pacific Rim (2013), and The Lego Movie (2014), and voiced Luigi in the blockbuster The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023). In 2023 he also made his directorial debut with the Hollywood satire Fool's Paradise.
