Charles IV

About

Charles IV (1316–1378) was King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor of the Luxembourg dynasty. He regarded Vyšehrad as a symbol of the Přemyslid dynasty and reinforced its political and ceremonial importance. He is also known as the founder of Charles University and the New Town of Prague.
