Caveman is a Brooklyn indie rock band led by singer Matthew Iwanusa, active since 2010. Over more than a decade they have released four studio albums - from the debut CoCo Beware (2011) through Otero War (2016) to Smash (2021) - and played Coachella, Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits. The band has drawn praise from NPR, the New York Times and Pitchfork, and toured alongside The War on Drugs and Weezer.
The band released the fourth album Smash on the Fortune Tellers label, the first studio LP since 2016.
During the pandemic, the band released the four-track EP New Sides with rarities produced by Matthew Iwanus.
The third album Otero War was released on June 17, 2016 on Cinematic Music Group as a concept album with a central narrative.
