Casino Royale
The legendary Bond film Casino Royale stars Daniel Craig in a radical reinvention of the franchise - a raw, nihilistic Agent 007 replaces the classic superhero.
Caterina Murino (born 1977 in Sardinia) is an Italian actress best known for playing Bond girl Solange opposite Daniel Craig in Casino Royale (2006). She started out as a model and beauty-pageant contestant before building a career in Italian and French film and television, earning an Italian Golden Globe along the way. Murino returned to the theatrical stage in the production of La vedova scaltra (The Cunning Widow) based on Goldoni, which she presented in Cagliari and Sassari.
In April 2026, she performs in the production of La veuve rusée (Goldoni) at Grimaldi Forum in Monaco alongside other French actors.
In August 2025, at the age of 47, she gave birth to her first child, a son conceived through IVF.
In July 2025, she announced her pregnancy with her first child, conceived through IVF, with partner Édouard Rigaud.
Between 2020 and 2026, the theatrical play La veuve rusée was also performed at the Parisian theatre Théâtre des Bouffes Parisiens, where Murino played the leading role.
