Casey Affleck (born 1975) is an American actor who has built his reputation across independent and mainstream cinema alike. His portrayal of a grief-stricken janitor in Kenneth Lonergan's Manchester by the Sea (2016) earned him the Academy Award, Golden Globe, and BAFTA for Best Actor. He had earlier broken through with an Oscar-nominated turn in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007).
The film Bitcoin (formerly Killing Satoshi), in which Affleck plays computer scientist Craig Wright, is in post-production; the distributor has not yet been confirmed.
