
Carl Sentance – NAZARETH
British vocalist Carl Sentance, frontman of the iconic Scottish hard-rock band Nazareth, takes the stage in Šumperk.
Carl Sentance (born 28 June 1961 in Loughborough, England) is a British hard rock singer active since 1980. He is best known as the lead vocalist of Scottish rock institution Nazareth, a role he held from 2015 to 2025, recording two studio albums with the band. Before Nazareth he sang for Persian Risk, the Geezer Butler Band and Krokus, and contributed to several solo records by Deep Purple keyboardist Don Airey. Following his departure from Nazareth in December 2025, he is pursuing solo work and the Lords of NWOBHM project.
In December 2025, Sentance left Nazareth after nearly eleven years; the band announced his successor Gianni Pontilla.
Sentance explained his departure by saying it was time to move on, and confirmed a solo tour from January 2026 and performances with the Lords of NWOBHM project in Japan.
Nazareth completed the Bending the Rules tour on December 17, 2025 in Berlin - it was the last concert with Sentance.
Sentance released the solo album Silent Angels on September 27, 2024.
Sentance began his 2026 solo European tour on January 22 in Olomouc and continued it to Vienna (February 21).
