Carl Orff

Carl Orff (1895–1982) was a German composer and music educator. He is best known for his cantata Carmina Burana (1937), a dramatic work for soloists, choir, and orchestra set to medieval Latin and Middle High German texts. He also developed an influential music education method known as Orff Schulwerk.
