Captown is a Russian-language hip-hop trio from Astana, Kazakhstan, signed to the Russian label Zion Music since 2020. The group consists of three MCs: Azat (Quantarskii bluez), Bakha (FortyGunz) and Madi (Zaton). Their breakthrough came with the EP Иллюзия нормальности, which brought them recognition well beyond Kazakhstan, partly through collaborations with Lizer and Levan Gorozia. They position themselves at the crossroads of old-school rap ethics and contemporary production, with a strong emphasis on lyrical substance.
Captown released a solo album CYBERTOWN (10 tracks, 20 minutes), which the band described as hip-hop with cyberpunk aesthetics of the 80s.
Captown joined forces with Экси, Niman, Truwer and Fardi to form the collective Omerta and released an eponymous album that ranked in the top 15 of the Apple Music album chart in Russia.
In March 2025, the single Канцлер was released, the first of two collaborative tracks with Экси, Niman and Truwer, which previewed the album Omertà.
At the beginning of 2025, Captown released the single Мосты, dedicated to personal changes and the search for balance.
In 2024, Captown released the EP Межсезонье and the single TOKYO, thereby maintaining a regular release rhythm before the explosive year of 2025.
