IGNITE / USA + Cancer Bats / CAN + more
American band IGNITE and Canadian group Cancer Bats perform at Prague's Futurum Music Bar.
Cancer Bats are a hardcore punk band from Toronto, Ontario, active since 2004. Their sound fuses hardcore punk with sludge metal and southern rock - critics have compared them to Converge and Hatebreed. Over two decades they have released seven studio albums, earned six JUNO Award nominations, and built a reputation for some of the most intense live shows in heavy music. The members also perform as Bat Sabbath, a Black Sabbath tribute project.
Cancer Bats announced their eighth studio album Give Me Dirt (released August 7, 2026) and released the first single Stay Stuck; the album was produced by Kurt Ballou at God City Studios.
The band signed a contract with Marshall Records and announced an October UK tour Marshall 'Made Of Loud' Tour with bands Ignite and Knives.
Cancer Bats announced a 21-date Canadian tour for the 20th anniversary of their debut album Birthing the Giant, starting in April 2026.
During the American tour, the band's van and trailer with all equipment were stolen in Indianapolis; fans raised over 30,000 CAD on GoFundMe in less than 24 hours.
The band completed a Canadian tour (January-March 2025), which was intended to serve as inspiration for the upcoming eighth album.
