Boris (JAP) + Planning For Burial (USA)
Japanese post-rock band Boris and American experimental group Planning For Burial perform together in Brno.
Boris is a Japanese rock trio from Tokyo, active since 1992. The lineup of Atsuo (drums), Takeshi (bass/guitar) and Wata (guitar/keyboards) deliberately resists genre labels - their catalogue spans drone metal, sludge, shoegaze, noise rock and ambient music. Over more than three decades they have released over twenty studio albums and collaborated with artists including Sunn O))), Merzbow and Keiji Haino. The 2005 album Pink broke them internationally and remains their most recognised record.
Boris announced a tour of Great Britain and Europe for the 20th anniversary of the album Pink, which will take place in October and November 2026 - it is their first visit to the region in three years.
The tour 'Do You Remember Pink Days?' starts on October 3 in Verona and ends on November 15 in Brno; Planning for Burial will accompany the band at all stops.
Boris will conduct a Southeast Asian tour for the anniversary of Pink with stops in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore.
Boris released the live album 'Cloud Chamber' on Bandcamp from a collaboration with Michio Kurihara.
Boris released the live album 'Live Noise Alive' on Bandcamp - a recording from Tokyo's Daikanyama UNIT from 2014 - as a new standalone release.
