Bohdan Karásek (born 1978 in Brno) is a Czech film director, screenwriter and musician. He studied at the Film School in Zlín and then screenwriting at FAMU, where he later worked as a teaching assistant. He makes intimate, low-budget auteur films - his feature debut Karel, já a ty (2019) won the Innogy Discovery of the Year award and earned a Czech Lion nomination for best screenplay. He also plays drums in the band Ploy and writes for theatre.
