Combined Seating for Two Main Stages
Combined seating for Blues Alive 2026 guarantees a seat in both main stages during the three-day festival in Šumperk.
Blues Alive is an international blues festival held every November in Šumperk, Czech Republic, which has grown since its founding in 1996 into the largest blues event in Central Europe. The festival was initiated by Petra Matysová and has been programmed since 1999 by music publicist Ondřej Bezr. In 2019 it became the first Czech institution to receive the Keeping The Blues Alive Award from The Blues Foundation in Memphis. Each edition mixes living blues legends, current Grammy and Blues Music Award winners, and emerging talent from across Europe and the US.
The 29th edition of the Blues Alive festival took place on November 14-16, 2025 in Šumperk with a sold-out venue; the headliners were Joanna Connor, Walter Trout, GA-20, Mark Hummel Band, and Sari Schorr.
This year's edition of the festival was sold out long before the event took place.
Blues Alive organized in June 2025 the second edition of a trip to Chicago to explore the roots of blues.
The jubilee 30th edition of the Blues Alive festival is scheduled for November 12-14, 2026 in Šumperk.
In 2022, the Blues Alive Hall of Fame was opened in the building of the Regional Museum in Šumperk with exhibits mapping the history of the festival.
