Black Row is a nu-metal band from Brno, Czech Republic, formed in 2018 and taking their current shape after 2021 when frontman Hammacci joined. The four-piece - Hammacci, guitarist Ace, bassist Max and drummer Kuba - draws on the nu-metal sound of the late 90s and early 2000s, citing Deftones, P.O.D. and Static-X as key influences. After a trilogy of Nothing Is Real EPs, they released Surströmming in May 2025, a six-track record that pushed their sound into darker, more melancholic territory.
The band released a new single JACKASS and a collaboration KITCHENFLY (feat. Diego Zeta), continuing their active creative work following the release of the EP Surströmming.
The music magazine Headliner dedicated an extensive interview to Black Row and evaluated the EP Surströmming as a shift of the band into darker territories with a reference to Deftones.
Black Row released the EP Surströmming with six tracks, which came out on May 31, 2025.
The band performed at the Brno Kabinetu MÚZ at a joint concert with Lein and Filthy Minds, where previously unreleased new tracks were also played.
Black Row made their debut at a major festival - FAJTFEST 2024 was their first performance on a festival stage.
