Birger Malmsten was a Swedish film actor best known for his collaborations with director Ingmar Bergman. He appeared in several of Bergman's early films, including Summer Interlude (1951), a romantic drama about love and loss. He was one of the defining faces of Swedish cinema in the 1940s and 50s.
