Benedict Cumberbatch is a British actor best known for playing Sherlock Holmes in the BBC series Sherlock and Doctor Strange in the Marvel films. On stage he has taken on some of theatre's most demanding roles - in the National Theatre's Frankenstein he and Jonny Lee Miller swapped the parts of Victor Frankenstein and the Creature night by night, earning both actors an Olivier Award.
