About

Belinda McClory is an Australian actress born in 1968 in Adelaide, active across film, television and theatre. She is best known internationally as Switch in the Wachowskis' landmark sci-fi film The Matrix (1999), while in Australia she has built a parallel reputation as an award-winning stage performer - she won the Helpmann Award for Best Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Play for the 2004 production of Frozen. She also co-writes screenplays with her husband, director Jon Hewitt, including X: Night of Vengeance (2011) and Turkey Shoot (2014).
