Axel Boman (born 1979, Stockholm) is a Swedish DJ and producer whose music moves between house, techno and dub with a playful, eclectic touch. Together with Kornél Kovács and Petter Nordqvist he co-founded Studio Barnhus, now one of Scandinavia's most respected independent dance labels. His 2010 breakthrough single "Purple Drank" on DJ Koze's Pampa Records put him on the map; the debut album Family Vacation (2013) and the ambitious double album LUZ / Quest for Fire (2022) cemented his reputation. He has headlined Coachella, Burning Man and Sónar, and is a regular on BBC Radio 1 and Boiler Room.
Boman released the EP From Riches to Rags on the British label Aus Music - his first recording for this label, four deep house tracks featuring pbeatgirl and Joakim Åhlund.
The album LUZ / Quest for Fire IN DUB! was released - a dub re-edition of his double album from 2022 in collaboration with the Scandinavian sound system Trensum Tribe.
Boman performed a mix for Rinse FM as part of the Studio Barnhus series.
He released the EP Space Drag on Studio Barnhus, inspired by a stay on an avocado farm in the Colombian mountains near Medellín.
Studio Barnhus digitally re-released the EP Moon Dancer, originally released on the French label Third Try Records.
