About

Audrey Hepburn (1929-1993) was a British-Belgian actress and humanitarian who won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her very first major Hollywood film, Roman Holiday (1953). The American Film Institute ranked her third among the greatest female screen legends of classical Hollywood. She is one of the rare performers to hold all four major American entertainment awards - Oscar, Emmy, Grammy and Tony (the so-called EGOT), with the Emmy and Grammy awarded posthumously. She spent her final years as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, work that earned her the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
