Arnold Schwarzenegger (born July 30, 1947, in Thal, Austria) is an actor, bodybuilder and politician who rose from a small Styrian village to the top of Hollywood. He built his global reputation through The Terminator (1984), Predator (1987) and Conan the Barbarian (1982), and was among the world's highest-paid actors throughout the 1980s and 1990s. He served as Governor of California from 2003 to 2011 and has since been active in climate policy through his Austrian World Summit initiative.
