Ariana Clarice Richards (born September 11, 1979, in Healdsburg, California) is an American actress and painter. She became internationally known at age twelve for playing Lex Murphy in Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park (1993). After graduating with honors from Skidmore College with a degree in Fine Art and Drama, she shifted her focus to painting - working in an impressionist style, she is a member of the California Art Club and the Portrait Society of America, and won first place in the American Artist magazine national oil painting competition in 2005.
Richards participated in the C2E2 2026 convention in Chicago (March 27-29) along with other Jurassic Park stars Joseph Mazzello, BD Wong, and Wayne Knight.
In August 2024, Richards appeared at the German Film & Comic Con convention in Essen.
In April 2024, her work Study For A Girl with Flowers was auctioned off.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park, Richards re-enacted the iconic scene with the dew drop - the video was shared on the official Jurassic World TikTok.
