Archgoat is a Finnish blackened death metal band from Turku, formed in 1989 by Sri Lankan-Finnish twin brothers Ritual Butcherer (guitar) and Lord Angelslayer (bass, vocals). Widely regarded as one of Finland's most influential extreme metal acts and a founding force of the war metal genre, the band dissolved in 1993 and reformed in 2004, going on to release six studio albums on Debemur Morti Productions.
Archgoat released a stream of their sixth studio album Nightbringer, Lightbringer before its release.
The album Nightbringer, Lightbringer is released on the Debemur Morti Productions label and again features cover art by artist Chris Moyen.
In 2025, Archgoat completed two successful tours - through Latin America and China.
In October 2024, Archgoat performed as headliners at the Servants of Chaos festival in Germany, organized by the Debemur Morti Productions label.
In 2022, Archgoat released the mini-album All Christianity Ends, following up on the 1993 EP Angelcunt.
