Ansel Elgort (born 1994, New York) is an American actor, DJ and singer who broke through as Augustus Waters in The Fault in Our Stars (2014) and later played Tony in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story (2021). Under the alias Ansolo he releases electronic and pop tracks, signing with Island/Universal Records in 2015. He also starred as Jake Adelstein in the HBO Max thriller series Tokyo Vice (2022-2024).
In February 2026, Elgort confirmed on Instagram the birth of his first child - a son.
In November 2025, Elgort made his debut as a professional dancer in the rock ballet Quadrophenia at New York City Center, where he played the role of The Godfather.
In October 2025, Elgort attended the New York premiere of the film Bugonia by Focus Features.
In June 2025, Elgort attended the Thirst Gala in Beverly Hills with Nate Wolff, where they together presented an award to author John Green.
At the end of March 2025, Elgort made a public appearance after a long hiatus at the Broadway premiere of the play Glengarry Glen Ross at the Palace Theatre.
